Brand Implementation
In summer 2024, the Center for Student Involvement (CSI) at Northeastern University transitioned its website to a new WordPress platform. While the core content had been migrated, the live site presented a range of structural and usability challenges. As a Program-Operations Co-op, I worked on reorganizing high-traffic sections, addressing mobile responsiveness issues, applying the office’s updated branding, and establishing analytics and search visibility to support ongoing improvement and student engagement.

Audit and User Feedback

To better understand the issues users faced, my colleague Riley distributed a survey to collect feedback from CSI staff. I compiled and synthesized this input, identifying recurring patterns and visualizing the results in a structured way. Using Figma, I organized responses into thematic categories and presented the main problem areas using sticky notes and grouped feedback clusters.

Improving Navigation: Event Planning and Policy Access

One of the most frequently cited issues involved the structure of the Event Planning and Policies sections. Users struggled to find relevant forms, guidelines, and policies because they were distributed across different menu areas and labeled inconsistently. I addressed this by reorganizing and grouping related content under clearer, task-oriented headings. I consolidated fragmented policy references and restructured pages to reduce the number of steps it took to locate and act on information. I also added a secondary navigation layer to highlight key links that students and staff accessed most often.
